FIRST Wednesday Night Social Ride of 2024: North Liberty and Coralville Trails Loop
From our starting point at gazebo in scenic Penn Meadows Park, head northwest on Dubuque Street. Make a left onto 240th Street and head west to Kansas Avenue. Head south to 270th, make a left and head east to the trail, where we head south through the Oakdale campus on Old Hospital Road to Lynncrest Street, south on Lynncrest to Holiday Road, then east to 12th Avenue, south on 12th Avenue to 10th Street, which runs into Hillcrest Drive. Left on Hughes to Fairchild, to Seventh Avenue, to Seventh Street, then take the Biscuit Creek Trail south to Fifth Street and take that east to former Iowa River Power Co. (We may have to go left or right to access the trail along the river, if construction now blocks the parking lot.) We work our way back along the river to the bridge over the dam, where we cross the Iowa River. We wind our way through the Peninsula neighborhood to the trail under I-80 to get to Waterworks Park, then back to North Liberty on the Dubuque Street Trail.
Riders' choice of nearby North Liberty eateries for our after-ride gathering.
