General Information

There are two options to join the Bicyclists of Iowa City.  You can join by using a credit card at Active.com.  Or, you can download and print a membership application. 

Online Membership Application

Membership Options:
Individual Membership $20 + processing fee
Sustaining Membership $25 + processing fee
Family Membership $30 + processing fee
Out-of-state Individual $25 + processing fee
Out-of-state Family $35 + processing fee

Note: A credit card processing fee is added to every online membership to cover costs of credit card processing.

Some of BIC's activities include:

• Monthly club meeting-time varies--watch this space or the newsletter
• Monthly newsletter-The BICycle Post
• Special postal mailings regarding bicycle issues
• Special periodic Email "BIC Member Alerts" regarding bicycle issues
• Current, accurate bicycle information
• Effective Cycling
• Weekend dayrides/weekend overnight rides
• Annual RAGBRAI ® travel arrangements for BIC members
• Educational outreach through bicycle-oriented programming on Channel 10 (Library Channel)
• Promotes responsible bicycling as enjoyable transportation, sport, recreation, and fitness
• Encourages cycling awareness through promotion of and adherence to state and local government and law enforcement bicycle-related efforts
• Active advocate for maintaining and enhancing bicyclists' right-to-the-road as bona-fide vehicles, and related issues
• Member discounts at local bike shops
