The year begins with the long-standing annual "Hot Chocolate Ride" held in late January. This ride is around 10-15 miles as cyclists stop frequently to warm up and fuel up. This ride has never been canceled as it's prime mission is to bike, no matter what Mother Nature throws at you!
In April, we start the season off right with a short ride from a local establishment. We'll ride 15 to 25 miles to get those who have been out of shape since November some time to warm up their legs. Afterwards, be treated to a hospitality and lots of good food while being surrounded by your friends. The season has begun!
In May, prepare yourself for a little cycling vacation. The The MARVelous Memorial Weekend Ride will take you to historical and pleasurable places around the Iowa - Illinois - Minnesota area. A different place every year. Arranged by Steve Rudin. view photos *NEW!*
Independence Day in July brings the annual Amana Breakfast Ride, a bike ride through the rolling countryside rewarded with an all-you-can-eat breakfast in Amana. Bring your appetite for this one as the food is practically unlimited!
The last full week in July is the annual RAGBRAI (Register's Annual Great Bike Ride Across Iowa. In 2013 it's July 21 - 27. BIC provides RAGBRAI wristbands, transportation to and from the start and end points, and hauls baggage for members. This is the ride you've probably been training for since April!

The year finishes up with the holiday party. Held in early December, BIC members gather to eat a holiday meal and celebrate the season.
